Josephine (Capizzi) Scofield, of Willimantic, passed away Monday September 21 2015 at St. Joseph's Living Center. She was born in November 9, 1925 in Bronx, NY, and moved to Scotland, CT in 1946 where she lived for 40 years before retiring in Kissimmee, Florida. Josephine returned to Connecticut in 2010. She was employed at The American Screw Company and The American Thread Company in Willimantic as a Data Entry Clerk. Josephine loved playing bingo and gin rummy with friends and family, and had a smile and personality that won everyone's heart who she came in contact with. Josephine and her husband frequented Disneyland and collected Disney memorabilia. Although she never had children, she was very close to her nieces and nephews. She is survived by Tony and Helen Capizzi, Tom Capizzi and Sonny Dimauro, Mark and Patricia (Capizzi) Smith, Dick and Carol (Capizzi) Elwell, Bill and Joy(Capizzi) St.Martin and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William Scofield, parents Frank and Jennie (Giannitto) Capizzi, brothers Tony and Tom Capizzi. A private service will be held at a later date.
