Josephine Ebner

Mrs. Josephine Ebner of Mansfield, died Monday, June 21, 2004 in Mansfield. Born Josephine Jerardi on February 11, 1907 in Arlington, Massachusetts, she moved to Willimantic in the early 1930's, where she taught chemistry, general science and other subjects at Windham High School. In 1935 she married Raymond Ebner, who taught mathematics at the high school and continued to live in the Willimantic area. Preceded in death by her husband, she leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Stanley Freeny of Morristown, New Jersey; a son, Charles of Columbus, Ohio; a grandson, Daniel, currently in Cleveland, Ohio; and a nephew, Lawrence and his wife Mary Rose of Wethersfield. There will be a private ceremony for members of the family, followed by burial in the Storrs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in her memory to favorite charities of their choice. Arrangements are through the Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic.
