Josephine A. Deuel

Josephine A. (Idzkowski) Deuel, 91, of Eastford, CT passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Putnam. Josephine was the daughter of Michael and Josephine Idzkowski, and was born and brought up in Franklin, CT. Josephine was married 70 years to the late Charles W. Deuel who passed in May, 2010. For many years before retiring they resided in South Windham, and Windham Center. Josephine is survived by a son William M. Deuel and his wife Nancy of Windham Center and a daughter Linda Paredes and her husband Henry Paredes of Eastford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Peter W. Deuel of Windham Center, and Juan Carlos Paredes and his wife Grechen, and her beloved great-grandson Samuel Paredes, all of Ashford. Josephine also left many nieces and nephews. Jo worked at the Electro Motive Co. for 20 years, 5 years at Windham High School as cafeteria manager and cook, and after 10 years she retired from Windham Technical School as the manager and cook. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and reading. Burial services will be at the convenience of the family.
