Joseph M. Sokolowski

Joseph M. Sokolowski, 94, of Mansfield, CT passed away on November 29, 2016. He was born in 1922 to Zigmund and Catherine (Czerwinski) Sokolowski. Joseph was a proud WWII Veteran who served with the Corps of Engineers and was a member of the VFW. In 1985 he retired from Pratt & Whitney after 32 years with the company. In his free time, Joseph was a member of the Pulaski-American Civic and Social Club. He leaves behind his son David; his brothers Benjamin Peters and Fredrick Sokolowski, four nephews and three nieces. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Marge (Paull) Sokolowski; daughter Grace Sokolowski; sisters Helen Sokolowski, Magdalene Moore, Isabel Rowin, Janet Farbman, and brothers Rudolph and Theodore Sokolowski. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Joseph Church building fund. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 9:30-10:30am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT, with a Funeral Mass being celebrated at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT.
