Joseph A. Pate, 84, of Willimantic, husband of Consetta (Mazzola) Pate, died Monday August 5, 2002 in Willimantic. He was born September 6, 1917 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Alexander and Mary (Look) Pate. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre and a member of the American Legion and V. F. W. in Willimantic. Mr. Pate was employed by the Electro-Motive Company and Brand-Rex in Willimantic from which he retired. He then worked part time at Benny?s and the Willimantic Police and Fire Complex. In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Joseph Pate of Orrington, ME, Patricia Pouliot of Willimantic, Kathleen A. Light of Willimantic, 4 grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Light of Willimantic, Joseph Daniel and Hunter Pate of Orrington, ME, 2 great grandchildren, Kirstin and Kailey Light of Windham Center, a brother and 4 sisters in Baltimore. There will be a gathering at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a procession to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic.
