Joseph John Kaminski

Joseph J. Kaminski, 92, of Stonington, formerly of Willimantic, husband of the late Arlene (Peters) Kaminski, died Wednesday November 26, 2003 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. He was born September 27, 1911 in Willimantic and was employed for 40 years at the former Willimantic Lumber and Coal Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a life member of the Willimantic Elks Lodge #1311 and Gold Star Post # 1724 V.F.W. He is survived by a son, Michael Kaminski of Stonington, a sister, Stella Crawford of Paxton, MA., 2 granddaughters Kathleen and Joanna Kaminski, both of Mystic, a nephew, Harold Crawford of Paxton, MA., and a niece, Barbara Lawson and her husband Harold of Middletown. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Novak. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
