Joseph G. M. Mick Greenwood A good man for all the right reasons Joseph G.M. Mick Greenwood, 60, of North Windham, husband of Ellen (Wheaton) Greenwood died Wednesday September 19, 2001 in Mansfield. He was born January 10, 1941 in Franklin, VT, the son of Aline (Galbert) Greenwood of Willimantic and the late Jerry Greenwood, and had lived in the Windham area all of his life. He was a graduate of Windham Regional Technical School and served as treasurer of the Alumni Association. Mr. Greenwood was a Marine Corps veteran of the Viet Nam era and was Troop Committee Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 34 of Windham Center for many years. He was a long time employee of Brand Rex in Willimantic and a member of the Windham Fish and Game Club. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Grace Greenwood of East Hampton, Scott Greenwood of North Windham, 2 sisters, Monica Ellsmore of Mansfield, Louise Pompeo of Willimantic, 2 brothers, Robert Greenwood of Half Moon Bay, CA, John Greenwood of Willimantic, a granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service with military honors will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. A public memorial service will be held at a time and place to be announced. There are no calling hours.
