Joseph F. Gollner, 91, of Willimantic, husband of Fidelis (Marrotte) Gollner, died Monday morning Oct. 28, 2013 at his home. He was born Jan. 15, 1922 in Willimantic and was a lifelong resident. Joe was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the 9th Armored Division, 60th Armored Infantry Battalion. He had been employed for many years as a union electrician by area contractors and had worked on the City Place project in Hartford. Joe was predeceased by his son Eric in 2010. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Fidelis, a sister Frances Pappas of Norwich, nephew Steven Marrotte of Columbia, niece Christine Sloan of Brookfield, nephew John Marrotte of Windham and sister in law Maryann Marrotte of Willimantic. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Oct. 30, 2013 between 10:00 and 10:30am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic prior to his 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with Rev.
