Joseph Raymond Gauthier

Joseph Raymond Gauthier, 78, of Windham, husband of Anita (Wrzesien) Gauthier, passed peacefully on Saturday Dec. 30, 2006 with his family by his side. He was born on Oct. 30, 1928 in Norwich. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by three children, Thomas Gauthier and his wife Laura of Amston, Diane Labanara and her husband Louis of Chaplin and Timothy Gauthier of Windham; and three loving granddaughters, Katie, Kelly and Julie. Joseph was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army Engineer Corps. He was formerly employed by Hamilton Standard and Brand Rex and was a long time letter carrier for the Willimantic Post Office. He was a life member of the Willimantic Elks Lodge and the Franco American Civic and Social Club. Joseph enjoyed camping, playing golf and swimming with his granddaughters. He will be greatly missed. There are no calling hours. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Private interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
