Joseph J. Cichon

Joseph J. Cichon, 94 of Willimantic, husband of Adrienne (Vargas) Cichon, died Friday June 4, 2010 at Windham Hospital from complications of cancer treatments. He was born Feb. 16, 1916 in Willimantic the son of John and Sophie (Baran) Cichon and was a lifelong resident. Joe served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed by Brand-Rex in Willimantic for many years prior to his retirement. As a youngster he began his association with the Willimantic Country Club as a caddie and eventually joined, won the Club Championship several times and became a lifetime member.
