Joseph E. Bresett

Joseph E. Bresett, 68, of Willimantic, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Rockville General Hospital. He was born April 6, 1943 in Willimantic, the son of Cleo and Carrie (Carpenter) Bresett. After the passing of his mother, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Julia (Couture) Bresett. He served in the Army until 1968 and then was employed at the American Thread Company and later at Caldors and Mohegan Sun. He is survived by his brothers Cleo Bresett and his wife Lupi of San Antonio, Texas, Arthur Sounia and his wife Kathy of Cashiers, North Carolina, and Milton Ives of North Windham. He was predeceased by his sister, Joanne Griffin McIntire. There are no calling hours and the interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery will be private at a later date.
