Joseph A. Bottaro Jr., 58, of North Windham, died at Windham Hospital on Thursday May 29, 2003 after losing his battle with cancer. He was a Windham resident for over 30 years and was born February 4, 1945 in Hartford to Joseph A. Bottaro Sr. and Gloria (DeGostin) Bottaro of South Windsor. He is survived by his parents as well as his wife of 38 years, Marie Carlene (Charette) Bottaro, 3 daughters, Dawn Menditto and husband Darrin of Brooklyn, Corinne Gorman and husband Jim of Columbia, Tami Harakaly and husband Steve of Mansfield, 5 beloved grandchildren, Devon, Dylan, Danielle, Matthew and Tyler. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Barbara Rice and husband Brian of East Windsor, Rosemary Kidder and Bill Helveston of East Hampton, a brother Ronald Bottaro and wife Susan of Port Orange, FL. Special thanks to Ron and Fran Boulay, our dear friends and relatives, who became Joe's "Angels of Mercy". We appreciate all that you did for us. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday June 7, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Valley St. Willimantic. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 565 Ashford Center Rd., Ashford, CT 06278 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
