Joseph Bertrand

Joseph "Al" Bertrand, 67, of Chaplin, husband of Albina (Yother) Bertrand, died Monday Jan. 31, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1937 in Brattleboro, VT. the son of Joseph and Priscilla (LaValley) Bertrand. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne. Mr. Bertrand owned and operated Al's Trucking in Chaplin. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter and son in law, Monica and Daniel Potter of Chaplin, 3 sons, Mike and his wife Lori of Middlefield, Mark and his wife Lisa of Dickson, TN. and Matt of Chaplin; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:30pm in the CT. State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. There are no calling hours.
