John Sadlon

John Sadlon, 90, of Columbia, beloved husband of the late Anna Sadlon and loving father of the late John Sadlon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August, 13, 2013. John was born October 15, 1922 in Andover, CT, to the late Stephen and Anna Sadlon. John is survived by his son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Phyllis Sadlon, and his grandchildren Michael Lindlau and Elizabeth Sadlon. His is also survived by his brother Emil Sadlon and sister Christine Gyome, along with several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He enjoyed spending time with family and being in the outdoors. John was a sports enthusiast, routing for the Boston Red Sox and NY Giants. John was an Army Air Force veteran who served in World War II and worked as a carpenter his whole career. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday Aug. 16, 2013 between 6:00pm and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00am in West St. Cemetery, Lake Rd., Columbia.
