John Postemski Obituary
John T. Postemski, 98, of Willington, CT passed away on June 12, 2023. He was born and raised on the family farm in Hampton, CT. He was the son of the late Thomas and Victoria (Hyduk) Postemski.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Postemski, to whom he was married for 73 years. He was a Korean War veteran and worked as an assistant foreman at Pratt and Whitney’s Experimental Department for 36 years. He loved to travel, and with Kate, visited almost every country on the planet. He also loved dancing. He and his wife met at a dance at the Polish Club and continued to dance the Polka together for many years, winning numerous trophies.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd. Ashford followed by burial at St. Philip’s cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to St. Philip the Apostle Church in Ashford, CT.
