John Paul Musial, 94, of Lebanon, CT peacefully passed away surrounded by his family & friends on January 6, 2017. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen. He was born on July 3, 1922 in Lebanon and was a life-long resident.?John is survived by his three children Robert?Musial and his wife Elizabeth of Lebanon, John J. Musial?of Lebanon and James Musial and Debbie Giambattista of Brooklyn, CT, and five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.?He also leaves a special long-time friend, Ed Tollmann of Lebanon.?John was predeceased by his brother Anthony and sisters Connie?Sylvester, Lee Dionisi,?Ira Wolkowski and Helen Bednarz. John was a World War II veteran having served aboard the U.S.S. Iowa.?He was employed by the American Thread Company where he ended his career as a member of the Technology Division.?John?s long time employment at ATCO was often reflected in his numerous stories and friendships throughout the years.?While working at ATCO, John owned and operated his own textile repair business for many years in Lebanon. John was an avid gardener well into his 80?s.?His BIG gardens were a sight to behold! He enjoyed sharing?the fruit of his labor with family, friends/neighbors.?John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren-riding around on his Gator or sharing stories, and at times being a grandfather figure to others on Tobacco St. He was a devoted Red Sox and Huskies basketball fan. John brought a wonderful joyous spirit to everyone around him.?If you were near, you were laughing, smiling or crying, listening to his many songs, jokes and riddles.?He never allowed a dull?moment.??Welcome to Paradise!??was his greeting when you went to visit at St. Joe?s!
