John "Jack" Levy, 79, of Columbia, CT, husband of Carol (LaFleur) Levy, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Windham Hospital. He was born in Westerly, RI, December 7, 1932 to the late Edward and Evelyn (Titterington) Levy. Jack retired from the USCG as a Chief Boatswain's Mate. He then was a familiar sight delivering firewood in his red dump truck during the 70's. Following his firewood business he opened Lookin' Back with Jack Country Collectibles and was well known and a constant presence, until his death, at antique and collectible shows for his refinished boxes, shoe racks, tables, dressers etc. Jack loved spending time in the woods and experiencing all of nature's wonders. In addition to his wife of 58 years, he leaves a son, Robert "Bob" Rodriguez and his wife Kathy and their daughters, Karyssa and Danyelle, his sisters, Susan Moon and Melissa Lanphere, his step-father Prentice Lanphere, his aunt, Pearl Parnigoni and her husband Dave, his three special girls, Paula McManus, Ann Sullivan and Linda Frick and his four-legged faithful companion, Rosie. He was predeceased by his daughter Sherri Lee Levy and his sister, Jane Hamel. A celebration of Jack's life will be held at the Lebanon Fire Complex on Goshen Hill Road in Lebanon, CT on August 25th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Burial will be private.
