John E. "J.K." Kozin, 82, of Mansfield, husband of Katherine (Lesniak) Kozin, died Friday March 11, 2005 at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born October 28, 1922 in Lebanon, the son of Fred and Lena Kozin and had lived in Mansfield all his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Gold Star Post #1724, Willimantic. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Kozin was employed for many years as a truck driver for Lydall and Foulds Paper Mill in Manchester. J.K. was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Laurie Kozin of Manchester, Sharon and John Lee of Willimantic, Joyce and Joel Forostoski of Windham, 3 grandchildren, Wendy Forostoski, Hillary Forostoski and Josh Lee, 2 sisters Mary Mathieu of Columbia and Katherine Elliott of Mansfield Center, many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
