John W. Kenney

John W. Kenney, 64, of Windham, husband of Judith (Dumont) Kenney, died Monday Jan. 9, 2006 at Windham Hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1941 in Lowell, MA. the son of William and Lillian (Bowser) Kenney. John was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Gold Star Post #1724 VFW and the James J. Shea Post #19 American Legion. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at UConn for 30 years. He was a fire/police member of the Windham Center Volunteer Fire Dept. and a communicant of St. Mary s Church, Willimantic. In addition to his wife he is survived by his brother in law Robert H. Dumont of Willimantic, his sister in law Sandra Perry and her husband Patrick of S. Windham and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00am at St. Mary s Church, Valley St., Willimantic. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.
