John Jacob Jason “Jack”, 86, of Canterbury, precious husband of Charlotte “Char Lee” Jason passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 with Char Lee by his side.  He was born March 22, 1935 in Middletown, CT, son of Jacob Jasion and Josephine Moncada Jasion.  He attended Middletown High and later Hillyer College.  Jack served in the Army during the Korean conflict in Japan from 1953-1956.  Jack is survived by his beloved wife Char Lee with whom he celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on February 8th. He is also survived by his cherished brother Louie Jasion and his wife Shirley of Cromwell and his dear younger sister, Denise Salafia of Middletown and her son, Brett John Salafia of East Hampton. He is also survived by Char Lee’s sisters: Dixie Lee Tipton and her husband Harold and Dixie’s daughters Lisa Anderson and her husband Mark, and Sandy Smith and her husband Earl; and Bonnie Applebee and her husband John and their 3 sons: Jonathan Applebee and his partner Shawn, Timothy Applebee and his wife Jessica Cuni, and Zachary Applebee.  Lisa, Sandy, Jonathan, Tim and Zac were also Jack and Char Lee’s much loved children with whom they spent many happy times together.  After working in their respective careers, Jack and Char Lee spent many years traveling from Maine to Georgia in their RV doing antique shows.  Char Lee, Jack, Louie and Shirley enjoyed (lived and breathed) UCONN Women’s Basketball games.  Jack and Char Lee attended services weekly at the Christian Science Church in Willimantic for over 40 years.  His family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am to 11:00am on Thursday, February 17 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St, Willimantic with his funeral service following at 11:00am.  A private burial will be held.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity or to Windham Area Interfaith Ministry, 866 Main Street, Willimantic, CT  06226.
