John E. Gallup, 52, of Willimantic, passed away February 8, 2023. He is survived by his father Richard E. Gallup, mother Christina (James) Wheaton and stepfather John S. Wheaton; sons, Zachary and Maxx Gallup and their mother Paula Jordan; two sisters, Meika Gallup and her spouse Joseph Cale and Megan Gallup; John is also survived by his close friends and girlfriend Donna Michaud. He was a kind funny person who loved to help others. If you were in his life, it was for a reason, he cared deeply. He said his sons were the best thing he did in his life. Anything he set his mind to, he could do. John was a great artist, tattooist and mechanic. He loved to build model cars and had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Old Hot Rod Cars and art of all kinds. Whatever he went through he was good spirited. He always gave good advice to his family, especially his boys. Although he is physically gone, he will forever be with us through spirit and soul. John is finally at peace and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. “Chin up Chest Out”, “Jack of all Trades”, Gone but not Forgotten. John’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00noon at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
