John N. Curtis, Jr.

John N. Curtis Jr., 90, formerly of North Windham, CT, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Douglas Manor, with his wife at his side. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, on February 26, 1926, the son of the late John and Lulu (Ladd) Curtis. He proudly served in the United States Army from April 1944 to January 1947, serving with the 69th Infantry Division during WWII. He worked for the American Screw Company in Willimantic CT and later with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford CT for 27 years, retiring in 1988. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara (Jeffers) Curtis, son John Curtis III,?granddaughter Donna and her husband John Collins, grandson Daniel and his wife Rosanne Curtis, eight grandchildren, sister in law June Curtis, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Curtis, Marian Jensen, Dorothy Pucci and a brother Robert Curtis. At the request of John, there will be no services.
