August 17, 1939 — January 2, 2019

John L. Clark 79 of Storrs passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2019 after a 14 year courageous battle with cancer. Born 8/17/1939 in Willimantic CT to Leonard and Lillian (murray) Clark. John enjoyed Nascar racing, especially his Friday nights at Stafford Speedway. He also was and avid bowler both ten pin and duckpin, and a fan of NY Yankees and the WWE. John retired from the Mansfield Dept. of Public Works after a 32 year career. He also had his own construction business and enjoyed playing with his big equipment. The family would like to acknowledge the care received at the Gray cancer institute especially Jesse. John is survived by his wife Nancy Clark of Storrs. Four Sisters Frances Nichols of Storrs, Marian Rychling and her husband Alan of Lebanon, Jean Robitalle of Windham, Susan Durand of West Charlston VT. Also several Neices and nephews especially Armand, Sheila and Jeff. Also his close friends Mike and Bonnie Sikoski of Windham. There will be no calling hours but A brief ceremony will be held at Potter Funeral home at Noon on Saturday for family and close friends followed by burial at the Mansfield Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences can be offered at www.potterfuneralhome.com .
