Joellen Palmer

March 26, 1956 — December 25, 2009

JoEllen Palmer, "Ni-Ni", of Willington, passed away quietly in her sleep early Friday morning December 25, 2009 at the age of 53. She was born on March 26, 1956 in Hartford to the late Charlton and Elizabeth (Tiffany) Reincke. JoEllen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother "Ni-Ni". JoEllen graduated E.O. Smith High School in 1975 and worked for the University of Connecticut's Dining Services for 30 plus years. She loved watching after her granddaughter, laughing, gardening, dancing, all things Irish, the beach, good food, making her home beautiful, and spending time with her family and friends. JoEllen was generous, had a strong work ethic and was happiest taking care of others. JoEllen leaves behind her husband and soul mate of 21 years, Richard Palmer and their black lab Miami; her daughter Erin Elliott, son-in-law Enoch and granddaughter Emma of Mansfield; her brother Mark Reincke and his wife Bonnie of Englewood, FL; her brother Rick Reincke and his wife Nicole of Portland; her brother Charlton Reincke and his wife Leslie of Willimantic; her sister Mary Lathrom of Tacoma, WA.; and her brother-in-law Ronald Palmer and his wife Nan of Mansfield. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Dec. 30th between 4:00 and 7:00pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00pm. For online condolences and directions to the funeral home, please visit www.potterfuneralhome.com . The family requests no flowers, but that everyone remembers JoEllen for her smile, laughter and generosity. Memorial donations may be made to the family for a college trust fund to be set up in JoEllen's name for her granddaughter Emma. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. Ni-Ni will be greatly missed by all.
