Joel Andrew Milliard

Joel Andrew Milliard, 33, of Ashford, CT passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at his home. Joel was born in Manchester, CT to Jeffrey and Debra Milliard on October 6, 1981. He graduated from Parish Hill High School in 2000 and pursued his love of automotives. Joel was very outgoing, with a larger than life persona and lived life to the fullest. He was charismatic and someone that everyone loved to be around. His wit and his humor were infectious and he loved to make people laugh. He had a passion for motorcycles, ATVs and anything with speed. His other passion was the New York Giants. He also had a great love for his niece and nephew. Joel is survived by his father and mother, Jeffrey and Debra Milliard, his brother, Matthew Milliard and his girlfriend Heather Hawes, his niece and nephew Emma and Madden Milliard, his aunt Donna Cournoyer Serkey and her husband Steve Serkey, his maternal grandmother, Denise Cournoyer and his paternal grandmother Lena Milliard. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Jacqueline Rivera and her two children, Jaylyn-Rose Rodriguez and Evander-Luis Ramos and many other loving aunts, uncles and friends. Joel is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, George Cournoyer and paternal grandfather Peter Milliard. Joel will be greatly missed by all. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St (Rte. 195), Willimantic, CT. A private service for the family will be held at the family's convenience.
