Joel Francis Anthony, 84, of Columbia, CT died on September 25, 2020.
Joel was born on May 13, 1936 in Willimantic, CT to George and Ruth (Robarge) Anthony. He was a good and decent man who did so much for everyone and was happy to do so as long as you didn’t pat him on the back. He preferred his acts of kindness to remain under the radar. He enjoyed being with the card crew at the Trolley. Joel is survived by his wife, Beverly (Bellavance); three children, Michele McCarthy and her husband, Kevin; Stephen and his wife, Denette; and his youngest son, Lynwood; grandchildren, Spencer, Connor, Zachary, Bridget, Mckenna, and Jordyn; and sister, Karen and her husband, Ronald Lindlauf; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, George, Donald, Rodney, Gerald, Irving, Malcolm, Kendall, Richard, Linwood and Terrance. Joel’s services will be at the convenience of his family.
