Joe Wilson Sr

Joe Wilson Sr., 83, of Willimantic, CT., died Monday May 15, 2006 at Windham Hospital. He was born August 1, 1922 in Greenwood, MS. to the late Sally and Joseph Wilson. He was married to Malinda Anna Hayes-Wilson who predeceased him in February of 1976. One son Jean Shae Wilson also predeceased him. He is survived by four daughters, Josephine Price of Willimantic, CT., Mattie Simon of New Orleans, LA., Irvin Willox of Willimantic, CT. and Dorothy Hollies of Chicago, IL.; seven sons, Leroy Mitchell of Long Beach, CA., Johnny B. Wilson of Willimantic, CT., William W. Wilson of Willimantic, CT., Joe Wilson Jr. of Willimantic, CT., Charles E. Wilson of Hartford, CT., Ricky E. Wilson of Hartford, CT. and Byron S. Wilson of Norwich, CT. He also leaves behind 36 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. His family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church, 412 Valley St. Willimantic on Tuesday between 11:00 and 12:00 with the funeral service beginning at 12:00pm.
