Joanne King Obituary
Joanne King, 90, of Marlborough, CT passed away on August 21, 2022. She was born in Farmington, NH, the daughter of the late Frederick and Priscilla (Curtis) Chase.
Joanne was formerly married to Clifford Williams, Sr. and lived in Canterbury, CT where they raised their four children and had 14 foster children. She was very involved in Calvary Chapel in Canterbury. Joanne retired as a business manager at a local doctor’s office and moved with her second husband, Ralph King to Georgia. There she became very active with the Ronald McDonald House, and she sewed costumes for the local theater. Joanne also volunteered at her local neonatal unit where she helped hold and rock the babies.
She is survived by her children Gary Williams and his wife Kelly, David Williams and his wife Susan, and Karen Langevin. She is also survived by her husband’s children Diana King Echavez and her husband Marcelo and Suzanne King Pryor and her husband Marty; and her deceased son’s wife Cheri Williams. Joanne was very proud of her 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Joanne was predeceased by her husband Ralph King; son Clifford Williams, Jr.; grandson Joshua Williams; sisters Delores Rice and Carolyn Muncie; and former husband Clifford Williams, Sr.
There will be a Celebration of life for Joanne on October 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel, 175 Westminster Rd. Canterbury.
