Joan Cartier Obituary
Joan E. Cartier, 78, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022. She was born September 2,1943 in Willimantic, the daughter of the late Alan and Blanche (Taylor) Eaton. She was employed by First General Services of Marlborough for over 30 years. She was truly a jack-of- all trades, devoted gardener, sun worshiper, and lifelong Yankees fan with special devotion to Mickey Mantle. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur “Tike”Cartier, her sister, Peg Constantine, and her beloved Hmokey. She is survived by three daughters, Charlene Petrone (Nelson Petrone) of Colchester, Candace MarcAurele (Steve MarcAurele) of Woodbury, and Cindy Ryan (Jeff Antil) of Ellington; a very special place in her heart held for Sara DeCarli; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Ross, Nicholas, Dylan, Jenna, Brooke, Leah, Parker, and Lacey; great granddaughter, Zoe and many nieces and nephews, including John, Joanie, Jimmy, and Julie. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Lebanon Cemetery, Waterman Road, Lebanon, with the Rev. Ron Lake officiating. There are no calling hours.
