Jerson Leon, 40, of Miami, FL., formerly of Willimantic, died Wednesday Nov. 17, 2004 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born March 26, 1964 in Bethlehem, PA. the son of the late Rev. Pedro Leon and Herminia Espada. Jerson had resided in Willimantic for most of his life and had been employed as a superintendent at Windham Heights. He had been a member of the Fuente de Salvacion which his father was a founding member of. Jerson is survived by his wife Adelina (Perez) Leon, 4 children, Emily Leon, Cesar Lora, Adelina Lora and Zuly Leon; 12 siblings, Zoraida Cruz, Juan Cruz, Pedro Leon, Juanita Vazquez, Jose Leon, William Leon, Ivan Leon, Eliezer Leon, Rebecca Leon, Jesus Leon, Damaris Leon and Samuel Leon; and 2 grandchildren, Janelle Lora and Alessandra Alfonso. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am at the Baptist Fellowship, Rte. 6, Columbia. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery. Please visit at
