Jerilyn Sherman

Jerilyn (Fryer) Sherman, 42, of Mansfield, died Sunday May 23, 2004 at the Windham Hospital. She was born March 24, 1962 in Willimantic the daughter of Jacqueline Meikle of Tolland and Peter Fryer of N. Windham. Jerilyn had been employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant at several area nursing homes and at the Windham Hospital. She was a former member of the Dream Machines Classic Car Club. She enjoyed cross stitching and had a strong love for animals. Jerilyn was a loving and caring mother. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her partner Walter Smolenski, a son Derek Alan Fryer of Mansfield, a daughter Ashley Susan Sherman of Mansfield, her maternal grandmother Geraldine Johnstone of Vernon, very special friends; Susan and Jessica Newell and Paul Griswold and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a brother Derek Anthony Fryer in 1988. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm.
