Jennie Boomer Obituary
Jennie C. (Cuoghi) Boomer, 98, of Chaplin, wife of the late Eugene Boomer, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Windham, CT, the daughter of the late Filiberto and Regina (Zaghi) Cuoghi. Jennie lived in Chaplin for 75 years. She was married to her husband Eugene for 60 years. She worked at the University of Connecticut as a secretary for 17 years before retiring in 1985. Jennie enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and watching UCONN Women’s Basketball. Jennie is survived by five children, Victor, Jennifer, Deborah and her husband Meya, Eugene Jr., Norman and his wife Penny; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Leah DeMarco, Mary Sullivan and Victor Cuoghi. A private graveside service will be held at the South Chaplin Cemetery, Chaplin.
