Jennie I. (Buskey) Gottlieb

Jennie I. (Buskey) Gottlieb, 83, wife of the late Benjamin H. Gottlieb, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 with her family by her side at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Jennie was born October 29, 1932, the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Griggs) Buskey and was a lifelong resident of Willimantic, CT. She was employed for many years as a manager at American Thread Co. and was also a home childcare provider until her retirement in 1993. Jennie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Marie Buskey of North Windham, children, Joanne Symmes and husband, Forrest of So. Windsor, Richard Gottlieb and wife, Jacqueline of Willimantic, Steven Gottlieb of Willimantic and Melissa Benito and husband, Kevin of Scotland, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jennie was predeceased by her brothers, John Buskey and Harry Buskey, sisters, Gertrude Brunaccioni and Eva Mae Walsh and sons, Lawrence Gottlieb and Samuel Gottlieb. Jennie?s passion in life was her family and she was unequivocally devoted to her husband of 62 years, her children and grandchildren. She had an immense love for animals and children of all ages and was a selfless caregiver with a heart of pure gold. Jennie?s family will receive relatives and friends?on Saturday May 7, 2016?from 10:00am to 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home,?456 Jackson St.?(Rte. 195), Willimantic, CT,?with her funeral service beginning?at 11:00am. Burial to follow at the Windham Center Cemetery, Rte. 203, Windham, CT.
