Jeffrey Duchaineau Obituary
In loving memory of Jeffrey Duchaineau, 62, who passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024 at his home in Vernon, CT. Born on June 30, 1961, in Willimantic, CT, to Ronald and Sandra Duchaineau. A devoted father to his two daughters, and loving “Pepere” to his six grandchildren, Jeffery’s life was a testament to kindness and selflessness.

Jeffrey’s hands-on passion, whether fixing cars with his brothers or tackling carpentry projects with his daughters, reflected his love for learning and teaching. Jeffrey had a close bond with his siblings growing up. He loved nothing more than reminiscing and recounting stories of his youth and was always ready with a wisecrack or corny dad joke. Defined by his relentless desire to help others, he was a dependable presence for anyone in need. Before his retirement, he served as the building superintendent for Juniper Hill Village, where he left an indelible mark, forming lasting connections and lifelong friendships.  Jeffrey was a family man in every sense of the word, and some of his happiest times were spent vacationing in Vermont with loved ones, sharing stories around the campfire. His adventurous spirit led him to pursue activities like hiking, mountain biking, and white water rafting. He never backed down from a challenge and was always up for anything.

Jeffrey is survived by his daughters, Candace Duchaineau and Sarah Dietter, his sisters, Kimberly Duchaineau and Pamela Hubbard Day, his grandchildren, Amy, Cai, Leeya, Layne, Hannah, and Emma, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by parents Ronald and Sandra Duchaineau, and brothers Rodney Duchaineau and Darren Duchaineau.  Friends and Family are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 2:00pm to 3:30, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, with a brief prayer service at 3:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the National Marfan Foundation ( https://marfan.org/donate ) in Jeffrey’s name are welcomed, honoring his enduring spirit of generosity and care.
