Jeannette A. Cone

Jeannette A. (Garceau) Cone, 67, of Wake Forest, NC, formerly of Willimantic, daughter of the late Donat and Yvonne Garceau, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in Durham, NC. She was born at home in Willimantic and attended St. Mary-St. Joseph School and Windham High School. She raised her family in Chaplin before moving to North Carolina. In addition to her beloved husband of 47 years, Chester E. Cone she leaves her children, Deborah Avila and her husband Charles of Chaplin, Steven Strickland and his wife Margaret of Colchester, Sheryl Cone of Willimantic, Roger Cone of Florida, Guy Cone of Portland, Richard Cone and his wife Myrna of Durham, NC. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Garceau and his wife Roberta of Scotland, her beloved grandchildren, William, Cynthia, Andrew, Tania, Stacey, Amy, Jessica, Richard, Darryl, Christine, Mary, Amanda, Michael, Guy Jr., Heather and her great grandson, Jordon, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 sisters and a brother, Laura Thompson, Rita Guertin, Irene Ashley and Richard Garceau. Funeral services will be held Saturday (5/24/03) at 11:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
