Jeanne (Bender) Vertefeuille, 76, of Lebanon, wife of the late Bert N. Vertefeuille, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on August 29, 2014. She was born on March 28, 1938, the daughter of Walter and Mildred Bender. She was employed at UConn Dining Services. Jeanne enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her beloved family. Jeanne had a heart of gold and touched many lives with her kindness and gentle nature. She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Lee, Kimberly and her husband Eugene Lescoe, and Christine Connell all of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Becky and her husband Ben Pluta of Dayville, Sarah Shipton and her fiancAC. Andrew Scott, John Shipton Jr, John Connell III, Jennifer Lescoe all of Lebanon, and Jeffrey Lescoe of Mansfield; and two great grandchildren, Aliyah Lescoe and Jayden Lescoe of Lebanon. Jeanne also leaves behind her much adored dog Dusty and cat Simon. Jeanne was predeceased by her brother Jack Bender, sister Judy Racicot, and son-in-law John Connell Jr. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday Sept. 6, 2014 at 10:30am in New Lebanon Cemetery, Waterman Rd., Lebanon.
