Jeanne Mott

Jeanne Mott, of Ashford, CT died December 15, 2015. She was born June 6, 1925, the daughter of Harry MacWay, and Eugenie Nollet MacWay. Jeanne was one of 10 children. Jeanne went to work early in life having to help her mother support the family after her father's unexpected death. Jeanne then worked for years for Electric Motive in Willimantic before her marriage to Buddy Mott in 1946, at which time she became a homemaker and mother of three boys. She also worked for a catering company in Ashford for many years. Besides loving her family and spending time with them Jeanne had a passion for gardening, cooking, caregiver to many, traveling to visit her sister in St. Croix, and enjoying the company of good friends. Jeanne is predeceased by her husband Woodrow "Buddy" Mott, son Chris Gregory Mott, siblings Harry, David, Patricia, Gloria, and Barbara. She is survived by two sons, eldest David W. Mott SR (Motts General Construction) his wife Sherrill of Chaplin, CT, son Larry Mott his wife Tina of Mansfield, CT, grandchildren Mandy Mott, David Mott Jr., Rebecca (Mott) Alberts and husband Raymond Alberts Jr., and Kelly Mott, as well as great grandchildren Amber Olson, Krysten Mott, Madison Mott, Olivia Mott, and Jada Mott. She is also survived by siblings Theresa "Teddy", Donald, Walter and Eileen. She will be sadly missed by many. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic ( Rte. 195) The family will hold a private committal service.
