Jeanne Marie Krapf, 52, of Ashford, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 2, 2012. She is survived by her father Edward A. Krapf Sr. of Stafford Springs, CT , and mother Lorna Pruyn and her husband James Pruyn of Hebron, CT. Jeanne was born at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford on June 14th, 1960. She graduated from Edwin O. Smith High School in 1978 in Storrs, CT and was also a graduate of Computer Processing Institute in Hartford. Jeanne was employed by the University of Connecticut as a Data Entry Operator for several years and was presently employed as a Transportation Security Officer at Bradley International Airport. Jeanne enjoyed hiking, the outdoors, and travel. She had adventured to Alaska, Venezuela, and several local sites throughout the years with her son. She was very charitable, donating time to the Hole in the Wall Gang in Ashford and spending time with countless friends and relatives. In addition to her parents, Jeanne leaves behind her son, Gregory M. Krapf-Brown of Ashford, her sisters Joane Quinlan of Marcellus, NY, Janet Lewis and her husband Gordon of Colchester, CT, and Kathleen Kral and her husband Frederick of Lisbon, CT and brother Edward A. Krapf Jr. and wife Carrie (Plourde) of Lisbon, CT. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday Sept. 6, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00am at St. Philip Church, Rte. 44, Ashford with assembly at the church. Interment will follow in St. Philip Cemetery.
