Jeanine (Kalisiak) Pelechatz, 90, formerly of Quarry St. Willimantic, died Thursday Dec. 4, 2003 at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. She was born Jan. 31, 1913 in Norwich the daughter of Antoni and Bridget (Brezinska) Kalisiak. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic and had been employed as a dietary aide at the Windham Hospital, retiring in 1978. She was predeceased by her loving husband Walter S. Pelechatz on Nov.22, 1996, her daughter Janice Welch on June 17, 1979 and 2 sisters Catherine Legler and Irene O'Connor. She is survived by 2 brothers; Mitchell Kalisiak of Willimantic and Leon Kalisiak and his wife Irene of N.Y., a sister Helen Piner of Mansfield, her son in law Dr. Francis Welch and his wife Patricia of Longmeadow, MA., 3 grandchildren; Francis W. Welch III, Brian C. Welch and Walter D. Welch and a great grandchild Garnet E. Welch and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 11:00am to 12:00pm followed by a procession to her 12:30pm Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
