Jean E. Strede, 88, of Coventry, CT passed away on September 18, 2022. She was born in Windham, CT, the daughter of the late Antoni and Mary (Zaklukiewicz) Gawlak
Her passion was spending time with her family, shopping, and going to lunch with her husband.
She is survived by her children Lori Beecher and her husband Chuck and Gregg Strede and his wife Robin; sister Wanda Connor; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean was predeceased by her husband William H. Strede; sister Helen Fiano and her husband Rocco; brothers Eddy and Billy Gawlak; and brother-in-law Arthur Connor.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 9:00am until her funeral at 10:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. Her burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Town of Coventry Fire-EMS Department, 1712 Main St., Coventry CT 06238 or a charity of your choice.
