Jason Guggolz

Jason Guggolz, 40, of Willimantic, husband of Diane Hinman-Guggolz, died Wednesday September 11, 2002 at home following medical complications related to osteosarcoma of the skull. He should be admired for his courage and faith, which he demonstrated on a daily basis until the day he died. He was born April 9, 1962 in Inglewood, CA, the son of Barbara (Fleming) Guggolz of Storrs and the late Glen Paul Guggolz and had lived in Willimantic for the past 8 years. He grew up in Manchester, graduated from Manchester High School and attended Manchester Community College and Southern Connecticut State University. Mr. Guggolz was employed at Bidwell Health Care Center in Manchester since the age of 16. He was an avid sports fan, particularly enjoying football and basketball. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a sister, Angela Cavagnaro of Columbia, a brother, Robert Guggolz of Storrs, a stepdaughter, Lisa DiNardo of Strafford, PA, and a stepson, Mark DiNardo of Wyncote, PA. The family has appreciated the support of his dear friends Dave and Bob Minch of Manchester. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Waggoner Chapel on the grounds of the Storrs Congregational Church, North Eagleville Rd. at Rte. 195, Storrs. Burial will be private.
