Jared Stead

Jared Stead, 42, of Scotland, CT passed away on June 8, 2016. He was born in Manchester, CT on August 7, 1973 and grew up in Bolton, CT. Jared attended East Catholic and Manchester High School. Jared had previously been employed by Griffin Dewatering. Prior to that he held several sales positions in the automobile and motorcycle industry. Jared was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a loving and devoted father to his son, Tristan James Stead. Jared loved his family very much and was a loyal friend to many. In addition to his son, Jared is survived by his wife, Mary (Bigelow) Stead; stepchildren, Matthew Pintal and Michael Tully Jr.; mother and stepfather, Patricia and John Howland; father and stepmother, James and Ann Stead; brother and sister-in-law, John and Anita Howland Jr and their daughter Daniela; brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Aubrie Howland and their son Sawyer; grandmothers, Sally Lunt and Joan Howland and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his family. Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson Street, (Rte 195) Willimantic, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to an education fund for his son.
