Jared Michael Griffin

On February 19, 2018, Jared Michael Griffin, son of Michael and Kimberly Griffin, passed away at home at the age of 15. Jared was born on March 11th, 2002 in Rockville, CT. He was an intelligent, caring, and loving person with a great sense of humor. He was a future member of the ?Geek Squad? in the making because he knew the ins and outs of computers and was the family IT consultant. Jared gave the best, most amazing hugs to all of his family. He enjoyed skateboarding and was learning how to perfect it. He and his friends enjoyed being outside, building forts, playing games and having airsoft battles. Jared will be immensely missed by his loving family and his friends. He will be in our hearts forever. In addition to his loving parents, Jared leaves behind his sister and best friend, Megan Griffin; maternal grandmother, Glenice Irish; paternal grandparents, Gary and Eileen Griffin; godparents/aunt and uncle, Pamela and Timothy Murphy; aunt and uncle Jennifer and Douglas Eldridge, aunt and uncle- Robin and Garnet Brawn; cousins, Samantha Eldridge, Alyssa Brawn, Morgan Kennedy and Stacy Zevetchin. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Dale McEwen. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Jared?s name to Our Companions, 46 Floeting Road, Ashford, CT 06278. The family will be holding a private service. A celebration of life will be planned in the future.
