Janice (Pierce) Carney

Janice Elaine (Pierce) Carney, 84, of Lebanon, CT daughter of the late Rilla Alice (Kendall) Pierce and Clifford R. Pierce Sr., passed away at her home on May 14, 2016. She was born July 21, 1931 on Mohegan Hill and graduated from Windham H.S. in 1949. Janice married her beloved husband William on May 22, 1950. Together, on a dairy farm, they raised four daughters, Sheila (Richard), Sharron, Sheryl, Stacey (David). She leaves six grandchildren Guin, Miranda, William, Nora (Luke), Andrea and Davin and two great-grandchildren Penelope and Aureliano as well as her siblings, Kendall (Phyllis) and Beverly. She was predeceased by two siblings Phyllis and Clifford, Jr. and by 5 sisters-in-law, Irene, Edith, Ruth, Ella and Hattie and their spouses and one son-in-law Richard. Janice was an avid musician, gardener and baptized Jehovah?s Witness. She was proud of the longevity of her marriage and would have celebrated 66 years on May 22, 2016. Per her request, there will be a graveside ceremony at the New Lebanon Cemetery for family and friends.
