Janet Dorothy Woodward, age 71, of Windham, CT passed peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at William Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. She was born on October 21, 1951, in Hartford, CT, daughter of Edmond & Eileen Woodward. Janet was a graduate of Windham High School, class of 1969. She was also a graduate of Ellen Cushing Junior College, class of 1971, and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Mary College, class of 1974.
Janet is survived by her mother, Eileen Woodward; a brother, Mark Woodward & his wife, Sue, of New York; a sister, Patricia Woodward & her husband, Mark Sharp, of Virginia; nieces, Grace Stewart, Sarah Sterritt & Katie Woodward; and nephews, Matthew Sharp & William Sharp.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Edmond Woodward.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 12:30 pm, with the funeral service at 1:30 pm both on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT followed by interment in Storrs Cemetery, N. Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT..
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.
