Jane Rosalind (Lambert) Scott, November 8, 1945 - June 8, 2011. Jane was born in Sutton Coldfield, England, to Norman Lambert and Kathleen Green Lambert. In her professional life, Jane was the first word processing supervisor, later the webmaster, and at the time of her retirement, administrative assistant to the Marketing Department of the School of Business at the University of Connecticut. Jane loved to sing and was known for her clear and beautiful soprano tone. She was a longtime choir member and soloist at the Storrs Congregational Church, sang for years with the Renaissance Revival of Storrs, with the Hartford Chorale, and the Hartford Chorale Chamber Singers. Jane found solace, strength, and inspiration in her ability to continue to sing well into her long battle with cancer. Sharing music was her joy, and brought her close to many. Jane was predeceased by her father and mother, cousin Vivian and several beloved aunts and uncles in the U.K. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Scott of Kensington, CT; sister Kay Guretsky of Fort Meyers, Florida; nieces Trish and Mary; cousin Mary Turnbull of Whitby, North Yorkshire, UK; cousins Frank and Martin Green of greater Birmingham, UK, and cousin Eileen, Sr. Theresita of Jesus, of the Carmelite Monastery, Lancashire, UK. A service in celebration of Jane's life will be held at the Storrs Congregational Church, 2 North Eagleville Rd., Storrs, on Wednesday, June 15th at 7:00 pm. Calling hours precede the service in the Parish House Lounge of the church beginning at 5:30 pm, and a reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to donate to Storrs Congregational Church, Hartford Chorale, or the American Cancer Society through daughter Jennie's fundraising effort (she will be running a half-marathon in Jane's memory this August) at
