Jane K. Jordan, 84, of Storrs, wife of the late William Jordan, her soul mate and the love of her life, died peacefully at her home, Tuesday, July 26, 2011, surrounded by her entire family and close friends. She was born September 19, 1926 in New London, the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Johnson) Leary. She grew up in Waterford on the farm that is now Leary Park, before moving to Storrs. She and her husband were active members of the American Legion and spent many years traveling and spending time at the beach. More than anything though, she enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by three children, Kathy Pekarovic and her husband Victor of Windham, Robin Heath and her husband David of Chaplin and Chip Jordan and his wife Ann of Storrs. Her grandchildren, Kristin Tefft and Heather Pekarovic-West, Nathaniel "Natey" Heath, Mike Heath and his wife Amanda, Amanda and Jacob Jordan, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William Leary. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Her funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday August 1st at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Storrs Cemetery.
