Jane Kristen Hoffman passed away at her home in Hampton, CT on Monday January 26, 2015, at the age of 67, surrounded by those who love her. Her death was caused by an incurable brain cancer. Jane was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 23, 1947 to James Peter Anderson and Clara Faye (Hogue) Anderson. She also lived in Key West as a child, before settling in North Kingstown, RI and then Sterling, CT. Jane graduated from the University of Connecticut, where she met her husband, William E. Hoffman. They were married on June 22, 1968. She started her career at American Thread in Willimantic, CT. Jane and Bill later owned and operated Hoffman Motors, Inc. in North Windham for 27 years. Jane will be remembered for her love, strength, and courage. She was a very talented seamstress, gardener, and artist. Jane was a wonderful wife and mother; completely dedicated to her family. She was a caring friend and active member of her church and she touched so many hearts through the gifts God gave her. Jane is survived by her husband, William Edward Hoffman of Hampton, CT, and three daughters, Kristen E. Hembree and her husband Russell Hembree, of Dalhart, TX, Karen L. Fox and her husband Jonathan Fox of South Windsor, CT, and Amanda L. Robinson and her husband Greg Robinson of Ashford, CT. She also leaves four grandchildren, Jacob and Aaron Hembree, and Daniel and Abigail Robinson. She is also survived by two brothers, James and David Anderson and their wives and children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and James Anderson. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 12:00 PM, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Hampton, CT.
