Jane Robinson Obituary
Jane Barbara Robinson of Coventry, CT passed peacefully in her sleep on December 16th, 2022. She was born in Meriden to the late William and Ruth (Kelly) Flynn, the youngest of six siblings. She grew up in West Hartford and later graduated from Bay Path College. She was proud of her Irish heritage and was quick to offer her famous “Irish Whammy” to right wrong doings for her loved ones. Jane spent many years as secretary to the Principle in the Coventry School system, where she was a well known, friendly face with tremendous love for children. She found great beauty and wonder in nature and sought to capture it with her love of photography. She acquired a skill for fly fishing and loved to accompany her longtime companion, Larry, on fishing trips. The Green Bay Packers, Boston Red Sox & UConn women could do no wrong in her eyes and she never met a dog she didn’t fall madly in love with, most recently her “grand puppies”, whom she adored. The last year of her life was spent in the company of her sisters, with the kind caregivers at Harbor Chase of Evergreen Walk Memory Care, to whom we are so grateful for their compassion, patience and love. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Robinson and fiancé Brett Shanaman, her siblings John “Jack” Flynn and his wife Alice, Mary “Bets” Denney, Margaret “Peg” Moriarty and James “Jim” Flynn and his wife Peg and her many nieces and nephews and their children. Jane was predeceased by her sister Katherine "Kay" McCarthy, nephew Greg McCarthy, and her loving companion Larry Racicot. There will be no calling hours per her request and a celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date. If you wish to memorialize her, donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
