James Williamson Sr

James Williamson Sr., 93, of Storrs, husband of the late Rita (Deschene) Williamson, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 in Storrs. He was born February 27, 1912 in Rothsaye, Scotland and came to the United States in 1914. He lived in Willimantic and Lebanon before moving to East Hartford where he was employed for many years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Upon his retirement in 1976 he moved to Maine and returned to Storrs in 1997. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James Williamson Jr. and his wife Carole of Columbia, Bruce A. Williamson and his wife Percy of Manchester and Greg Williamson and his wife Chris of Southington, five granddaughters, a grandson, 2 great granddaughters and a great grandson. He was predeceased by a brother, Archy Williamson Jr. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
